HELLO!! :)..

to note : i volunteer to make the banner all by myself.. d her cant take part with the new competition, plus this is my last year~ i want to do more for e-cafe.. then u all can hang it at e-cafe for publicity !! and remeberance of ur DEAREST publicity manager..

this is called MOTIVATION!!!!

motivation - the reason why employees would want to work hard and effectively for the business !! -- ME ME ME !~!!! lol lol lol

haha.. i really think if e-cafe is a business, we would be a super sucessful business... in terms of motivation !!

according to MASLOW's theory of motivation, there are 5 levels of hierachy !!

1) Psychological needs - rice,food,shelter .. / we get cca point... mayb not enuff !! =)
2) Safe/ Security needs - safe environment/ job security / we get a nice windy place and no one would steal our cca !!
3) Social needs - good relationships with co-workers, sense of belonging !!!
4) Esteem needs - having status, job recognition, achievement !! / muahaha !!! BOW TO THE PUBLICITY MANAGER !!!
5) Self-actualisation - succeeding to your full potential / we get competitions to take part in !! and put in all our creativity !!!

- however what e-cafe lacks is alil esteem needs ~~ come on... many many many people dunno OUR EXISTENCE!!!!... its IRRITATING!!! .. haha.. i shall stop bringing the morale down ~~

my plans of achieving recognition, increase motivation thus efficiency ~~ and loyalty !!
1) Public Presentation of E-cafe as a CCA
2) Organise activities such as camps, internal competitions
3) Training outside of the e-cafe in polytechnics to teach students about business.. something like AEMS
4) Posters of e-cafe in the school, a pernament e-cafe banner..
saying, " NOT JUST A CAFE, A CCA !!" ..

C - Caring
A - Attentive
F - Friendly
E - Enterpeneurs

see this !! this emphasizes on the goal of e-cafe and the nature of our job in general !!
SERVICE! !! .. GOOD EXCELLENT SERVICE, which is innovative, CREATIVE and CLOSE TO THE HEART!!!

and another thing, though e-cafe is a cafe.. ITS CONSTANTLY MAKING LOSSES .. sure you can say it actually earns but i bet only $100 - $300 per month.. after minusing the cost price of the products.. but what we are all FORGETING abt is the fact that if e-cafe WAS A BUSINESS !! we would be long dead..

school has to spit out money for every cca.. including ours.. but i dun wan that to be the case !!!
i want e-cafe to be a profitable business, for us to say that WE GIVE THE SCHOOL MONEY !!!

what i suggest is that though we have suprisingly so many members.. only a few is needed for a day, i suggest we do job rotation, we could have another cca day on saturday or sunday for PURELY competitions or fairs.. at places..

like for example i know that in parkway parade theres this handicraft fair.. in one week in a month.. daily rent is $90. but im confident E-CAFE CAN MAKE IT WORK!!!.. we earn money outside of e-cafe (extending product cycle . new markets), we can do handicrafts .. plastic moulds of food into keychains.. and sell (we hav a d&t lab.. make USE OF THE DARN THING LA!!! .. helps spread costs of bought fixed cost ) .. even if it is not good.. AT LEAST we let ppl outside of outram !! the PUBLIC KNOW WE EXIST! !!!!!!

- plus it is good experience, such experience is valuable and you will meet the real world..
ps~ if u dint know my mom does handicraft.. i was her salesperson.. i pestered alot of ppl and made $300 sales.. then i got sian liao. then only sell $200 the nxt day and $90 the last..and her thing is in demand mah.. at parkway parade..

hmm we could oso find sponsers OURSELVES !! no ASKING OF MS GOH TO DO IT !!.. we do it .. this way we get to learn how to communicate with other ppl, in the real business world. make those extra ppl do this.. too many members too lil space in e-cafe.. they can oso do a proposal to the sponserguy..~~ this is GOOD STUFF !!! feels like I & E.. but haven u noticed... e-cafe is I & E

plus evrytime we hav this kind of event we can announce to the school.. that we made a profit.. HEY THEY SHOULD GIVE US A PRIZE FOR CONTIBUTING $$ to the SCHOOL!!!! ..

oh another suggestion. instead of purely advertising e-cafe on cca day.. WE DO IT BEFORE CCA DAY..
1) catches their attention, normally before cca day students find out from seniors abt all the cca's.. this is good info.. for them.. those interested would want to try..
2) didnt u learn anything from the previous cca.. DUH!! no one came to us.. SO WE MUST GO TO THEM !!!!!!!! .. be PROACTIVE !!!
3) TELL PEOPLE WE EXIST!!.. and if we leave a good impression ppl would want to respect and go to e-cafe (free piublicity)
4) MDM CHOY (principal woman) loves cca's which are proactive like band and cca's which are competitive (lots of competitions) CO.. thus WE MUST SO CALLED LICK THE BOSSES BOOTS !! .. jkjk.. .. hey its more recognition of e-cafe.. !! we need that !!

- another day, though our cca t-shirt sucks !! but any publicity is GOOD publicity!!. if you wear the shirts, it promotes e-cafe as a cca too ~~ so dun hate it IAN !!! ..
-plus dun waste $$ mrs tan printed that all for us..

disclaimer : just a suggestion so pls dun make me wear the shirt all by my own. i dun like it BUT ITS FOR THE GOOD OF THE CCA !!!

.. btw: on the other thought after we become successful, tell the newspaper abt our unique cca (they did it before) , and tell them WHAT OUTRAM IS DOING!! instilling business skills in its students!!! makes more ppl think better of outram.. we got loads of bad publicity !!!...

take my suggestions seriously and give it some considerations. the extra guys (including the one who says sinni has a big head) is EXTRA !!!.. they need something to do.. ..

super long.... forgive me =) =) .. i got many many bright ideas.. so feel free to ask me.. yes.. i am going to bring it up to ms goh when i get a chance.. quite hard since i got extended.. so i finish at 4.. and she normally is gone by then..
